About the Photographer, Michael Aagaard
My name is Michael Aagaard, I’m a passionate wildlife photographer from Denmark.
I’m deeply fascinated with the beauty and perfection of the natural world. There is an abundance of art in every aspect of nature - but it is easy to miss if you don’t pay attention. That is one of the reasons why I’m passionate about capturing those perfect moments and sharing them with others through my fine art wildlife prints.
With my photography I hope to bring attention to the complex lives of animals and the natural world around us. I believe that awareness is crucial to caring - and the more aware we become of the natural world around us, the more energy we will dedicate to protecting it.
My journey into wildlife photography began in 2015 when my wife and I moved to Vancouver, British Columbia from Copenhagen, Denmark. What started as a hobby quickly became my main passion in life. In 2020, we moved back to Denmark and I started a hole new chapter in my wildlife photography journey.
